In a similar way to SEO, pay per click advertising is all about getting your website found by potential customers. Pay per click advertising is however a different way of going about it. SEO is all about optimising your website so that you appear in relevant Google searches that can benefit your business, whilst pay per click advertising is the method of bidding on relevant search terms in order to appear in the sponsored adverts at the top of Google.
Similar skills are required in finding a niche that can be tapped into, but the way you go about getting to the end result is very different.
Almost instant results can be seen with pay per click advertising whilst SEO work can take a little longer to take effect but is sometimes seen as the more long term solution and is commonly referred to as the organic process. There is no right or wrong way to market your business out of the two, instead it's all about which method best suits your business or website both in the present and the future.
